Noel-Employee Pet of the Month

This month our featured employee pet is Noel Gray. Noel is a beloved member of the family of Tiffany Gray, one of our licensed technicians. Noel is fourteen years old and is the “mama dog” to all of Tiffany’s other pets, as well being the matriarch of our family of employee pets! Noel is a friend to all and always has a wag of the tail for everyone. We love her!

Acupuncture

All acupuncture services at Pembroke Veterinary Clinic are performed by Josee' Vaillant, DVM, CVA. An initial physical examination and evaluation is performed by Dr. Vaillant to determine if a patient is a good candidate for acupuncture prior to scheduling acupuncture therapy. Each acupuncture session takes 40 to 60 minutes and depending upon the nature of the disease, a series of 3 to 10 treatments can resolve many chronic problems. Some conditions require monthly treatments for maintenance.

LACIE is Pet of the Month

We are please to spotlight Lacie Wanish as the February Patient of the Month!  Lacie is a very special girl, but her story is best told in the words of her mother.

“I'm so excited that Pembroke chose Lacie (aka Ladybug) as pet of the month ♥ I selected the photo that I think people should see - the blue markings on her face is the "radiation grid" they painted on her head for 3 months while we were going through palliative radiation for Lacie. Prior to going to NC State, I never saw an animal with these markings. Many pet owners are so afraid when their animals get diagnosed with cancer - hopefully when they see Lacie's picture they will see a friendly face instead of something scary or sad :) We joke that this was Lacie's first night away from home as a teenager without her parents and she came home with a tattoo!” For more on Lacie, her special story, and her courageous battle with cancer, go to Lacie’s Facebook page, Project Pink Paw.

National Dental Health Month Promotions

In honor of February being National Pet Dental Health Month, Pembroke Veterinary Clinic is proud to offer 15% off dental cleaning services. Make sure when brushing your pet's teeth, you use only pet toothpaste, never human toothpaste with fluoride. Check out the pet toothpastes we offer at our clinic. Also, ask about CET Chews, which are beef hide treats in which enzyme has been added that helps stop plaque from forming in your pets teeth. Keep your pet smiling this month!
